An amazing performance by the Acroback Tumblers was breathtaking.
At the evening's theme, at least for the fans, fun was.
I regret deeply whenever any players sustain injuries, and unfortunately, there were a few on both sides.
There was absolutely NO hostility from any Sting' fans, and any remarks by any of them were all in teasing, good-natured fun. At half-time, I walked around the stadium with my BULLS #13 shirt, exchanging cheers with fellow BULLS' fans (about 100 of us).
Now THAT'S great sportsmanship! Other than that, those fans near me gave spontaneous appreciation for great plays, whether by a BULLS' or by a STING player.
The best tease of the evening was when all the Sting' fans were screaming "BOOOO..." for Mr. Boozer each time he stepped up for free-throw shots. The couple next to me was "Boo-ing" and giggling uncontrollably, and I never heard any audience yell so loud and so long for anyone or anything.
While I was pleased that my team won, there was one surprise and disappointment: while I am a Bulls' fan, I was shocked to see half the fans leaving before the game ended; and even worse, I was amazed and disappointed to see the Sting team quit playing before the game had ended.
Where is the team pride and sense of good sportsmanship? Young men in high school are taught to stay in the game until the end, no matter what. Quitting before the end of the game is really a poor example for our youth. Very sad, indeed.
